This amazing hail storm destroyed my roof but was quite a thing to behold.
The fog has stuck around. I took the camera out around the house and got this picture of the light through the trees. Below is my runner-up:
It was one of those pleasant cold and foggy days that tell you that winter is here. There were times when the lake almost became invisible, but I got this shot when the far shore was only a faint line.
The tree is overflowing with presents and we aren’t even completely finished with the wrapping of packages.
It was a nice night of partying. First was the second of Gwen’s sixteenth birthday parties followed by a nightcap with our friends Nikki, Aaron and Todd. I snapped this at a local neighborhood pub.
I’m playing with a simple but intriguing application for the iPad that creates a virtual softbox for use in photography. It includes a bunch of patterns and colors. It could be a great tool for a variety of situations.
This certainly doesn’t qualify as one of the more attractive photos, but I guess it tells the story of my day. It was a very damp but pleasant ride to work but I required some improvised drying techniques to get ready for the ride home. Thankfully no one dropped by my desk during the day.
Today was Gwen’s official 16th birthday (we had a second party the next weekend for those who couldn’t make it). It has been truly one of the best experiences of my life to get to know this remarkable young woman over the last couple of years.
Gwen and I went on a Christmas tree shopping extravaganza and found this happy tree just waiting to be absolutely coated in lights.
Grace and I finally found some time to go out to dinner together and stopped off at our favorite Pho place in town. I just like the contrast of the chopsticks against the dark green background.
