I know I’m late on this one, but I always love to report when Congress does something worth while. Passed last night by a voice vote, an amendment was added to the Wartime Supplemental Appropriations Bill stating that no reconstruction funds would be given to any French, German, Russian or Syrian company for the rebuilding of Iraq. Way to go Rep. Mark Kennedy!

AMENDMENT PURPOSE:
An amendment to provide that none of the funds made available in the bill for reconstruction efforts in Iraq may be used to procure goods or services from any entity that includes information on a response to a Request for Proposal (RFP) that indicates that such entity is organized under the laws of France, Germany, the Russian Federation, or Syria.
