Well, here’s the first gallery of my New Orleans vacation. I spent all of yesterday driving and driving hard so the gallery is pretty small. A twelve hour drive primarily in rainy conditions doesn’t leave much time for photography. However, this trip was fun. I camped last night in beautiful Tickfaw state park, which I highly recommend. However, if you decide to visit in early spring, bring bug spray and lots of it or you’ll bleed to death, I assure you. Woke up early this morning, had breakfast at a charming little diner and made my way into New Orleans along I-55 which I have renamed the bayou highway. A miracle of modern engineering, I-55 runs for 50 miles elevated high above marshland as far as the eye can see. Just got checked into the hotel and got a much needed shower. More soon . .
