Well here is another one of those “Brother you asked for it” moments. In today’s New York Times a letter was published stating, “Medical care is a right, not a privilege; it should not depend on one’s job or ability to pay. ” My question is whose responsibility is one’s heath if not your own? If I stranded this woman on a desert island, I would love to hear her demand her RIGHT to medical care. The fact that you are to poor to pay for your health care does NOT give you the RIGHT to hold a gun to MY HEAD and demand that I pay for it. When Universal Health care is enacted I will be there to cynically chuckle as people begin to suffer, and yes even die, from lack of service that will follow . That may be cruel, but it’s just what the proponents of this kind of idiocy deserve!
