This editorial writer gets the solution completely wrong. The solution to preventing violence is not to take away the tools that level the playing field but to increase the number of weapons. Trust me I don’t want to go up against a 6’8 monster and fight him with billy clubs. I’ll be dead within seconds. No, I’ll stick with a trusty .45 thank you very much. No, the answer is guns, guns and more guns. The fact that the 6’8 monster knows that I have that .45 may very well prevent the fight to begin with. As the old adage goes, “A well armed society is a polite society”
