OK, here’s a first, Mao as the great instrument of public health. The author of the following editorial claims that under Mao’s benevolent leadership, the SARS crisis would not have happened. I mean yeah, it’s bad that those 20 million people starved after the “Great Leap Forward” along with all of those missing millions during the cultural revolution, but hey at least they wouldn’t have died of SARS. I mean that’s like saying, “Yeah Hitler was great for the economy, too bad about all those Jews though.” Sick bastard!
