Yet another fatal crash:
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol said a 19-year-old driver hit and killed a bicyclist just west of Stillwater Sunday.
Troopers said James Hazzard told them the sun was glaring in his eyes and he was adjusting his sunglasses when he swerved into the shoulder and hit 56-year-old Debra Miller.
She was flown to OU Medical Center where she later died.

This is very tragic. I think education is the key to solving this crisis. That and also getting rid of the sheer hate that exists between many motorists and cyclists.
I was hit myself last May. I was fortunate to have survived albeit not without injuries that will affect me for a lifetime.
The Oklahoma Dept. of Public Safety doesn’t even make mention of the 3 feet law anywhere on their website, nor do they include it in their license testing handbooks, so it’s no wonder that most people aren’t aware that such a law exists.
I sit on the Bicycle Advisory Committee in Norman, and we are asking the city to adopt the 3 feet law as an ordinance. Please encourage your cities to do the same.
