It’s views like this that really make me love my commute. A still morning like this just makes the rest of the day a more peaceful expirience.

It was Mark’s 60th birthday party, which was a great chance to see family who haven’t been in town in quite some time including Mark’s brother Joe.

Had a great evening out for dinner. I even convinced Gwen to try some sushi, but she really, really, really didn’t like it. I still admire her adventuresome spirt.

I had pretty much convinced myself that we wouldn’t see any of the white stuff this year. Admittedly, it was really just a light dusting, but given this mild winter, it was still nice to get a little bit of appropriate weather.

Finally got a chance to assemble my Chi-qoo Solar Kit from Bootstrap Solar (www.bootstrapsolar.com). I am hoping to use this to keep all of my gadgets charged during my bicycle trip this summer.

Instead of facing the hordes of amateurs out on the streets for Valentine’s Day, I did my best for a feast at home with Maple Glazed tuna steaks with curry and pear potato salad and a nice goat cheese covered salad followed up with some chocolate “explosion” cake.

Grace always gets me the best gifts. This year for Valentine’s Day I got a “genius” shirt (maybe overstating my case a little bit). Next she surprised me with some sugru (sugru.com), the newest hacking miracle substance for which I already have a million ideas on how to use it. I almost never do this these days, but tonight a bunch of guys from work went out for some beer and an action film. I guess my “guy” gauge was running a bit low. I feel much more refreshed. ;)

It’s a sign that I am not riding enough in that I am spending a lot of time and money filling up.
