Overholser Bridge is Officially Open
Actually, as I reported on twitter, it officially opened last Tuesday, but I haven’t had a chance to go by and take some pictures. However, the bridge looks great and the road surface is smooth as silk. I have to admit I’m going to have a little nostalgia for the old days of hopping over giant holes in the pavement. The old Route 66 Overholser Bridge has been closed for the last year which has made cycling around the lake very difficult. Thankfully, the restoration job on the bridge finished last week and I got to experience the new bridge myself this weekend!
