The lake looks so much nicer with water in it.

For most of this year, looking out over Lake Hefner was a bit sad with long spits of dry red earth sticking out into the lake. However, we’ve been geting some great rains for the last couple of weeks and when combined with some water releases from another lake, and the view is definitely improving. Here are some older pics for reference:

Admittedly this is pure bike porn, but I couldn’t pass up another pretty dawn ride picture. My morning commute remains my hands-down favorite part of my day.

It was an extremely uneventful Halloween for the both of us.  Pretty much exactly what I wanted.  Sometimes no excitement for a holiday is better than lots of it.

Friday was just a really tough day. A day filled with fires and frustration. However, when you start with a sunrise like this, it really can’t be that bad.

My favorite time of year is here. When in air is crisp and your lungs lightly burn at each breath. Got this shot at one of my favorite breather stops on the way to work.

The pelicans have been at Lake Overholser for a while now on their way south, but I finally got there at the right time of day for a close shot.

Yes, I know it a lake scenery shot and I am trying to avoid these. However, it is a different lake from my last few and it was such a pretty sunrise that I just couldn’t resist.

A Beautiful Morning

I could get used to this as my morning view after a wonderful night’s sleep in a big four poster bed.
