Spencer Family Continues Search for Hit-and-Run Driver
It’s been two years since the Oklahoma cycling community was shocked by two bicycle fatalities in less than 48 hours both involving long time cyclists. One of those incidents involved the hit-and-run killing of Alan Spencer. The driver in that crash has never been identified and police now consider the case a cold one. Reward Offered for Information Regarding Death of Alan Spencer

The Oklahoman is reporting that a reward is now being offered for information regarding the hit-and-run crash involving Alan Spencer earlier this year: A $6,000 reward has been offered for information in connection with the death of an Edmond man who was hit while riding his bicycle. Alan Spencer, 56, was killed about 8:45 a.m. July 17 when he was struck from behind by a motor vehicle while riding south in the 12500 block of Midwest Boulevard. [Read More]

Hit-And-Run Investigation Goes On

News9 is reporting on the families personal investigation into the hit-and-run killing of Alan Spencer three weeks ago: In the three weeks since the crash no one has come forward with information regarding the crash and now the Spencer family is desperate for answers. Cyclist Killed in Apparent Hit-and-Run Crash

So, following up on the request for information I posted earlier, it appears the cyclist in question was involved in an apparent hit and run crash. About 8:15 a.m., a passer-by reported a bicyclist in a ditch in the 12600 block of N Midwest Boulevard, just north of NE 122, Patty said. The bicyclist, identified only as a white male, was pronounced dead at the scene, she said. “This appears to be a hit-and-run,” Patty said. [Read More]

I was just notified to a mishap involving an un identified rider. OKC Police are needing assistance in identifying a rider.
